Many of us are familiar with the Law of Attraction. “Our inner self is mirrored outside of us.”, “You are a magnet for what you already are.” and “Like attracts like.” are statements that we often come across on social media posts or on the pages of books and wall calendars.
These phrases suggest that we are responsible for the experiences we generate in our lives – the types of people we surround ourselves with and the situations we encounter. When we don’t like where we are, we often hide behind the “victim” role, using blame as our weapon to project our problem onto others. At some point, we may finally conclude that we have a choice about which role we play in a life situation and instead challenge ourselves to take a road less travelled with the objective of attaining a better result. On a global level, we, as a community, could consider exploring this less-known path.
I recently came across some of the teachings of inspirational speaker, spiritual teacher and intuitive channel Sara Landon. I learned that we attach ourselves to different states of consciousness or awareness. These states of awareness could be visualized as “energy bubbles” that are in constant flux around us and contain like-minded and like-emotional communities of souls. One can only reside in an energy bubble that it resonates with although it’s possible to move from one state to another – as long as a person’s energy aligns with its vibes.
While you live in your state of consciousness, others live and resonate in their states of consciousness. There is no right or wrong as everyone is where they need to be at the moment. We each have our personal life journey and are not to judge someone else’s purpose or life-school curriculum. After all, we are each on our own individual path.
We can and do choose our states of awareness, whether consciously or unconsciously. This may seem inconceivable if we don’t like where we are (because this means that we would have to hold ourselves accountable). Moving into a new realm may seem unattainable and require self-work as important changes will need to be made in order to align with the state of consciousness we desire to reside in. The consequences can be rough. For example, relationship groups may shift if they no longer align with your energy. On the upside, new incredible opportunities may present themselves as you find your place in your new vibe.

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.”

Which state of consciousness are you aligning with?
“Always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment.”~Don Miguel RuizBelow are a few examples of the many states of awareness that you could recognize in yourself or others. I encourage you to read through them and give it some thought. Be honest with yourself – it may be challenging yet, so eye-opening.
“Life happens to me” (not for me). Negative attitudes keep me stuck. It’s never enough. People are always out to get me. I’m not worthy. I am fearful, angry, anxious. I’m not in control. I want control. I want power. I blame others because it hurts to take responsibility for my own actions. I feel guilt and shame.
I am open to gaining knowledge about myself and striving to find my purpose. I am learning to tap into the authentic self. I recognize that it’s ok to not be perfect and I do my best in all situations. Although painful at times, I embrace challenges as they promote self growth and healing.
I live without judgment. I bestow unconditional love and empathy upon others. I am compassionate and of service to others. I use a bird’s eye view to understand the complexity of a situation and accept and agree that every single soul has his/her own life journey and lessons to learn. Every single soul is worthy of love.
Do you resonate with any of these three particular states of awareness? Perhaps you flutter from one state to another in different areas of your life. The big question is: Are you where you truly want to be? Are you sharing your energy with the right energy community – or is it time for a change of awareness?
Now that you’ve considered where your awareness lives, let’s take it one step further.
Consider the following statement. The emotion that sits in your heart is projected to others around you. This means that dense emotions like fear, anxiety or anger have an energetic ripple effect into your surroundings – reaching into your community. This community is huge in today’s world as we display these feelings in our day to day conversations, through social media, video and text messaging, etc..
If we can accept that emotions are contagious, wouldn’t most of us prefer to be the bearer of higher vibrational energy and spread feelings of love and joy?
Sages and spiritual leaders have been organizing mass meditations throughout history and now more and more people are taking it upon themselves to generate these practices – many of them through the guidance of spiritual leaders, energy healers and yoga masters or through the creative channels of musicians, artists and writers. They all have the same goal of spreading positive vibes of love and healing to our world. The spread of positive affirmations, healing energy, prayer, blessings and gratitude will continue to grow as more people understand the power of emotion.
Today, I’ve made my choice. Emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing are where I choose to be and what I strive to share with others each and every day. Daily meditations have been a blessing to me and I urge others to invest in this sacred time for themselves. Love and compassion are HUGE benefits for our world and its collective consciousness. That’s the “energy community” I choose to sparkle in because together we can be a strong ripple of healing for our beautiful world.
Joy, peace and love,
💛 Lorraine
The picture on this blog post is the first of a series of paintings I created after leaving my full-time career to open My Chakra Center and provide energy healing for anyone interested in exploring alternative approaches to wellbeing. This intuitive painting represents the seat of the soul – our true and authentic selves and where our energy resides when we are at peace, feel joy and radiate love.
Special Note: I’m not a doctor and I’m not a talk therapist. I am a holistic life coach and whatever I share is “souly” from personal experience. Many beautiful souls are in need of professional counseling and treatment for help in difficult situations. May light, love and blessings be with them as they work through their challenges to find peace of mind and joy in their hearts.
