Reiki originated in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. The word “Reiki” is made of two Japanese words: Rei (higher power) and Ki (life force energy). This energy is also referred to as Universal Life Force. Dr. Usui’s structure and format of Reiki is known as Traditional Usui Reiki.
Our physical bodies are made of the same energy matrix that surrounds all matter. We are all part of a quantum field and have the potential to manifest as physical matter or energy. Physical matter is denser than the energy field. This physical part sometimes contains stagnant energy, which can become areas known as dis-ease.
